What you need

cup white onion

clove garlic

frying oil

cup vegetable broth

cup raw cashews

cup fresh basil

tsp lemon juice

tsp salt

tsp ground black pepper

oz pasta
Instructions
0 Saute the onion and garlic with oil (or broth) over medium low heat until the onions are caramelized. It takes about 10 minutes. Add them to a blender. 1 Place the peppers into the blender with the onions and garlic mixture. 2 Add the rest of the ingredients, except the basil/parsley, into the blender. 3 Blend on high until smooth. 4 Add the basil/parsley and pulse to chop into the sauce. 5 Cook your pasta of choice according to package directions, and serve with the sauce!View original recipe
