I make these homemade Cheez-Its by cutting ultra-thin deli cheese into squares, poking a hole in each one, and baking them low and slow until crisp. No flour, no oil, healthy, and super easy to make. Inspired by @cooklikeimbook.
1 Preheat the oven to 275°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2 Cut each cheese slice into 4 smaller squares. Place them on the baking sheet about ¾ inch apart.
3 Once the sheet is full, use a straw to cut a hole in the center of each square.
4 Bake for 20 to 22 minutes.
5 Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the crackers with salt. Gently blot them with paper towels to remove some of the grease.
6 Let the crackers cool on the pan before removing them.
